"Skew of the horizon", what skew? There is no skew! This is the natural slope of the landscape! Who is the idiot, now, dude!
The picture is bad, probably. I can even see the brush strokes in photoshop in the horizon trees on the right side...

The idiot is you. If you actually bother to read my post I don't actually say 'I think the horizon is skewed' - I simply say that knowing the numpties that post on here someone will think it is. I don't criticise the photo at all!

@hype: If you think that what you have written is too difficult for me to understand and you feel the need to explain it, I now see why you don't criticize as you say the actual "photo", but the future and non-existent yet comments... Not because you like this thing but because you are too stupid to do anything else! (I even have my doubts that you will understand what I have just said... If you don't, then either my english is bad, either... guess what...)

I wish I could find some place like this in the US. Why does it seem like Europe was handed all the pastoral paradises, while America was left with New York and LA?

The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the ocean. Why don't you try driving between New York and LA! There are thousands of miles of scenic drives within the continental U.S (thousands more if you add in Alaska). I've driven across this country three times and each time I've seen many different kinds of natural beauty. Take a road trip through the Rocky Mountains in winter or the Appalachians in fall. There is a lot to see in the 3,000 miles between LA and NY!

Wow... this site does have admin, I never would have guessed from the comments. The sky is a bit grainy on the left, but that doesn't bother me. This is a very interesting photo, for some reason it strikes me as seeming surreal (not that editing has made it that way, but that the place itself would seem like that in person). Nice work.

McLovin.. "Lone Sunset" is ten times grainier than this is.. But you didn't seem to have a problem with it. Can you say bias? ;)
Anyway, I love this shot! The grass seems a bit sharp for my taste, but the setting of it is wonderful. Very unique, and a good shot. Thanks! :)

You've got some exposure problems in the foreground and the vignetting looks weird in this picture.

The composition on the photo is good although the sun appears to be artificially put in with photoshop. If you look at the trees in the background the shadows go from left to right which doesn't match the position of the sun. It also explains why the top left and bottom right corners seem darker.

I like your image. Thank you for being creative and thank you for sharing that with us. The grain is completely acceptable as is the composition. I am a photographer and professional fine art printermaker. I just completed work for a well-known photographer and a few of his images had twice the grain/luminosity noise as your image and it just appraised for over $1200. All of this art stuff is so subjective. Keep doing what you enjoy doing, and don't let it bother you. Beauty remains in the eye of the beholder.

This is truly a stunning shot, one of the finest I've seen. A moderately interesting scene is elevated. However you managed it in post-processing, I won't fault you for using the tools you have.

Oh, and when I first looked at the preview of the picture, I thought it those two trails where a double solid line from a highway. It made me really confused when I saw the full quality picture. why is the road made out of grass? :P
