This really is one of the best images I've seen in a while.
It seems to make use of HDR, and if so, is a fantastic example of what can be done with the technique. If HDR wasn't used, well, you spent a fantastic amount of time metering.

The combination of HDR, soft lines and grain make this almost look more like a painting than a photograph. What exposure settings did you use? I haven't played too much with HDR yet, but now that I have a DSLR, I'm looking to try it out. How under and over exposed did you get your shots to produce this effect?

A bit grainy near the sky and blurry around the trees, other than that a very nice shot.

Nice work. I assume the trees are a bit blurrier than the rest of the image due to wind. How long were your exposures?

I used 3 raws at the usual +2, 0, -2 ev. As for the blurry tree's to the right I think partly its to do with the wind moving the branches between shots and partly to do with the sigma 10-20 not having a terribly great edge resolution, I've noticed it on other shots that the extreme right is normally a bit soft.
As well as the HDR I burned and dodged in the valley a little bit to darken some of the haze.
I used 3 raws at the usual +2, 0, -2 ev. Beautiful picture, it is a bit grainy, i think you could do less post processing and try and get the same finished product...
