gcarter: You don't realize what you are looking at. This is an image of bands of DNA run on a gel and imaged under flourescent lighting. For us scientists out there, it is a kick-butt wallpaper.

sorry i am trying to understand this is this a graphic generated image? or is a low light shot with a high ISO and may well be the reason for the grain? i like it! well done!

This looks very similar to something else on here, but it escapes me at the moment. Very well done.

@indylux: This is still very cool for all the non-scientists out here ;)

For those worried about the grain, go ahead and run it through photoshop and remove it. Personally i'd like to leave it in its natural form.

Congrats to the artist for a reference i haven't seen on facelift yet, it'll go great on my rotation.

Hi! I come from Sweden so my english is't the best one, so..

I'd like to thank you guys, I appreciate your comments. This was made in Photoshop CS3. I usual do DVD and Blu-ray covers, but I thought that I could make some wallpapers too, or more like edit some old pictures that I have taken. I'm interested in the human body, and how it works, the more functioning part, so I thought that I could make a sample of the DNA Lines.

The colors and blendings are nice but it's kind of grainy and just boring. Sorry but the idea of a DNA-string could be realized much better...
