Mirror Glass Pond

August 14th, 2008

While driving around taking sunset photos I passed this pond. I don't think it could have been any calmer. This is an HDR image.

This photo looks cool upside down too, except it gives you a strange vertigo effect :) It's nifty.

I'm a big fan of the clarity of this shot. Thanks for posting your work, it's much appreciated.

Thank you all very much. The clarity comes from how calm it was. This is from 3 exposures and not fast shutter speeds neither. There is one blade of grass out of alignment and my guess is that there was an insect buzzed by it during the taking of the 3 exposures.

Amazing picture. Really.

Forgive the amateur-ish question, but how do you combine 3 different exposures? Did you use different white balance with each shot or similar? Thanks! :)
