Well, I got impressed with the superb colors and with the sharpness ! The details of the little waves (I mean the water movement). Not mentioning the landscape...
And the contrast between the water and the stones gives a good way to the photo.
That's the way dude.

Nice! No offense to the popular sunset-submitters on this site, but it's really refreshing to see something different for a change. Love the perspective here.

Terrific picture! The depth of the vivid blue colors is just so soothing to the eyes. And most of all, a gr88 welcome break from the usual sunset pix.

Popular sunset-submitters? A lot of amazing photos, right-adjusted lens and settings of cameras, and you say popular sunset-submitters? I think you should rethink about it.

GT, I didn't mean any hostility. The skill required for many submissions on this site is obvious. That said, pure technical prowess is only half of the equation for me. I know I'm inviting flames, but in my opinion, the sunset has become the photo equivalent of the drummer's paradiddle around here. In other words, maybe it's impressive, but it's not terribly imaginative. The perspective of this photo was simply a welcome change of pace.

its horizontal invertability, and its range of aspect ratios, multiplies this beauty's appeal as a desktop.
