Walenstadtberg

September 8th, 2008

This picture is taken from the Paxmal Temple above the city of Walenstadt in Switzerland. I was using my Canon EOS 400D with Tamron 10-17 mm Fisheye. Chilled out there for hours, and watched this beautiful view...

Did you 'enhance' the picture by making the greens stronger? I felt like -25 on the saturation in Photoshop made it look more realistic to me.

Great view, though

Funny - The hills in the background make it feel for me that the picture is crooked - Those darn eyes of mine :)

I don't think so the green is so saturated, I use an Acer LCD widescreen and the colors are so good here, not less and not so much saturated.

This makes we want to sing "Sound of Music". Too bad I don't sound like Julie Andrews.

To be honest, I like the saturation and very green colors. It looks very alive and not washed out like other photos.

Chris Gin, you're right. I went to his website, and he does have nice work on there. Although, I couldn't use any of them as a 1680x1050 wallpaper like THIS beautiful shot. This is the only Fisheye shot that I may ever add to Wallpaper Master. Fisheye isn't for me because I personally prefer perfection vs. distortion, but this shot is too beautiful for me to pass it up. Thank you so much for posting it. It almost looks like a professional painting! I look forward to more wallpapers from you!

Great view but im not a fan of the fisheye effect. Id love to have this shot without that effect.
