White Beauty
By Chris Gin

This was taken while trying out some Kenko extension tubes. I used some fill flash to try and eliminate some shadows but left the ISO too high and overexposed the petals. I kinda like the end result though as it emphasises the centre more.

It's very bright! The focus is great, and so are the colors, but it seems just a tiny bit over exposed in the top right of the flower. Otherwise great job

I was looking at the Canon 40D, what lens did you use for this picture? Looks really sharp. Amazing picture too.

Another side of Chris Gin. :-) This is a pretty intense photograph. The stark focus and contrast difference between the center and edges is really cool. Keep up the great work!

Not JUST the expensive cameras... :-) I think the skill and creativity of the photographers has something to do with it, too. I've seen some 'posey' people with all the kit and then some, but no ideas or abilities.
I love this shot and the emphasis on the centre. This has inspired me to look through my own shots of flowers but my best ones are in portrait format so no good here.

Outstanding photo. The simplicity of the petals, both by the white color as the focus, contrasts with the middle of the flower, which one is on the focus and with a darker color, making this good contrast in the photo. And the best thing is that the flower seems to be posing to the photo...
That's it man, good photo, like all your others. =]

If you like these kind of flowers...check out the photo called Purple Flowers. Same flowers, different shot.

Others have made comments about this photo but in my desktop test I don't liked it as my wallpaper. Think they should post in another link, like pbase, if they want to discuss about photo/camera/lenses.

MORE CONTRAST NEEDED (SHADE?) FOR THE OUTER RING OF THE PICTURE...THE CENTER IS GREAT BUT THE REST NEEDS WORK.
