Sunset in Front of Me
October 16th, 2008
As we were about to leave the lake one evening, I looked towards the horizon and saw the sun beams shining through the thick fog. It was a one time shot.

As a small image before I downloaded it I wasn't all that impressed I mean I knew it was good but when I downloaded it and looked at it stretching across my wide screen monitor I have to say this is fantastic ! its beauty transcends art into a poetic state of being ... well done this is powerful stuff, very appealing ! probably one of the most inspiring images on the site from an artistic point of view and that's saying something !

Excellent shot! My new choice for desktop background for preparing for winter. Scene is so calm it won't even give any hassle with few icons here and there :)

This picture is simply amazing, it has something that is difficult to explain for me.
It shows the pure natural view of some locations, which are extremely beautiful and do not require special effects editing.

Wow...definitely a once-in-a-lifetime shot! This is absolutely beautiful. So serene, and yet so surreal and mysterious. I've got the feeling this'll be on my desktop for a while :-).

In general, there aren't many pictures on this site has much to say or mean anything, most of them took some ordinary scenes with some very saturated colors, that's about it! And from my point of view, if we look at their picture in black and white, suddenly a lot of them look like crap!
This is NOT the case of this picture!!! When I use this photo on my desktop, I instantly draw into the scene! It has good detail to wonder about, and to picture yourself standing in the scene. The light capture in this picture is beautiful and warm, full of imagination!!! Before I read your blurb, I was wondering maybe the bright light was the forest fire, therefore the bright fire broke through its own smoke and made the sky looked so dramatic!!! How wrong was, LOL
Thank you for taking this great picture. Nice work :D
