Red Village

October 30th, 2008

Taken with my Canon EOS 40D, with a Sigma 10-20mm lens on it. I created the HDR in Photomatix Pro. The location was Norberg. It's a small city in the middle of Sweden.

Hey Brina, you can download 2560x1600. It has the same aspect ratio as 1680. Not perfect, but it's what I'm doing right now :)

fantastic pic, maybe a little more green to offset the red would be nice, but its really just your preference. Keep these things comin

I really like this composition. The extreme saturation and HDR look works well as a desktop. Only thing I would have done is cloned the sky in the reflection to eliminate the blown out highlights. Good job.

I love the composition and the saturation of the colors on this. Normally I don't like overuse of HDR, but this is very stylized, it works very nicely.

Very nice pic! As I sit in my boring cube at work, I imagine I am in a canoe floating along puffing on a cigar.

I love this. The colours are fantastic and it just makes me happy looking at it. It's a very grey day here in the English countryside where I live. This makes me want to go out and paint my shed red! Thanks for sharing.

This is probably the best picture I've seen here so far. Just don't understand the whiners complaining about no 1680x1050. will it kill you to use a higher res? besides the extra 200KB that it will use in resources i can't imagine what the problem could be.

I would love it if you offered this in 1680X1050, only because that's the highest resolution my monitor supports.

I just love this picture. As a norwegian, I recognize these settings in my country too. The brilliant red color of the houses and the beautiful blue sky reflecting on the lake. The sublte gradual darkening in left corner. All of this make this photograph a winner in my book. You have a very good eye, victor.svensson.

One of the most amazing photo-walls on here...ever. Can't believe people are critiquing it. A true testament to the old saying, "you can't please everyone." Indeed, if God existed...people would probably critique him/her as well.

Lovely use of colors, I'm glad to see someone pay attention to the contrast of colors in their image.

While I love the image, I can't help but wondering if it would be better with slightly less use of HDR? HDR overuse notwithstanding, it is still an image that I gravitate towards...Cheers.
