When I'm watching your photos, I consider moving to Auckland... There must be so many beautiful places. Thanks for another great shot.

I actually liked the "out of focus" part that amprenta disliked, it creates a good depth of field and makes it a more interesting photo. The little grape vines are so cute :)

Amprenta, I agree with you. This is a beautiful subject, but my eye so badly wants to travel down the rows and up the hill. A greater depth of field would be welcomed. Chris, could you favor us with another take? By the way I checked out the website www.cablebayvineyards.co.nz for more info on the locale. It looks beautiful.

Great perspective effect in this shot it shows you really are keyed in to potential of a great shot whatever you are doing. If I was organizing a tour catalog I think your skills would be sort after. I don't feel however I will use this as a wallpaper but I fully respect this submission as a great picture anyway, and look forward to your next submission .. good work

Always wonderful shots Chris. But alas I agree with the others that it would be better with the rows in the background being in focus. stubulman said it best, my eyes want to follow the rows back. Still, keep up the good work!

I took this from the side of the road as I couldn't get access to the property, so I had to zoom right in to get this composition. With a focal length of 300mm I don't think it would've been possible to have everything in focus, even using hyperfocal distance. But to be honest I didn't even think of that at the time!

Hey Chris, you've got so much amazing stuff on your Flickr site that can't possibly all be loaded here at IFL. But some of you more fabulous photos found on Flickr aren't in a suitable size for wallpaper. Don't suppose you'd have any time to remedy that a little, would you? Or have you already, and I'm just looking in the wrong place?

Wow, great stuff Chris, another original. At first glance of the thumbnail I thought there was some weird Photoshop "ripple" effect, but nope... all natural! Colors, composition, and subject are very cool. Thanks!

Actually, I think if the whole thing were in focus the wooden poles in the background might become a problem and take the emphasis off those in the foreground, making it a bit busy. Also, why would you want your eye to go up the hill and out of the picture each time you look at it? This way the focus on the vines in the foreground keeps your attention within the picture and stops you getting dizzy!

The picture is great, but I have to say the title is my favorite part. :)
