What a bad storm that was, some towns around here still don't have power and it's been almost a week. Nice to see some local talent on here, keep it up!

This is a fantastic picture. It is pin sharp, and though I don't usually like super high contrast pictures, it worked exceptionally well in this instance. Nice job.

Too much clipping. Subject is indiscernible. While having an unclear subject is sometimes desirable, it is clearly not the intention of this submitter. The mods must be crazy. =)

I like the idea, but it's way too dark. Not for me but you did a great photography job.

I'm sure these plants mean us no harm, but do we know from where they come? They certainly convey the chilled-to-the-bones weather conditions.

I'm a few miles towards Boston so I avoided the ice storm =p

Sucks to go days without power, eh?

This one deserves merit just for being so perfectly bizarre! I don't remember the last time I saw anything like this. Love the icy organic theme, fascinating to look at. The uber sharpness and contrast add to its intensity. Nice job. P.S. I generally agree with Nat on having a defined subject, but I don't think it's as crucial in a desktop environment. Works for me here.

Whoa. Nice! When I saw this for the first time at full-screen, I was floored. What a picture. This is definitely pro-quality! The plant looks metallic or something. I really like this one. Nice work, Jarred! I look forward to seeing what else you can do! Please submit more!

Hey thanks everyone, I appreciate the comments. I guess it didn't turn out too bad considering I'm rockin' an original Canon Rebel.

What is it?? I can't tell. It tends more towards the abstract. Great picture though. P.S. I had no power for 4 days!

Fantastic image - really conveys the beauty of the season, and I like the contrast. This icy conifer is currently adorning my Macbook Pro and my desktop PC :) Thank you!

Looking at the thumbnail, I'd have thought those leaves were insects...but really, its uniqueness is striking.
