No way that moon is real, or at least was really in the shot. But I don't care, cause this is just the same goodness Macindows always provides. Nicely done.

I wasn't sure about the moon either. So, for those of you who would like to download the picture without the moon, please head over to my homepage www.dominickamp.de and download it from there. Cheers!

Awesome picture, was this taken freehand? I see a bit of blur on the windows when viewed at full resolution, but great shot nonetheless!

This is perhaps one of the best, if not the best, cityscapes i've seen. I don't care if the moon is real or not, this is amazing! =]

I guess you're referring to the distortion on the edges. That's due to the lense, a Sigma 10-20mm. I wish I had a Nikon D700 plus the 14-24mm f/2.8!

I think the moon gives a particular atmosphere to the entire photo..and in my opinion the photo is too much yellow, but maybe because i like more blue color..anyway this is an excellent cityscape pic!

1. Lerch, I backed off the yellow using Photoshop. Actually the image looks great with very little saturation at all. 2. Mister Q, are you quoting Obe Wan Kenobi from Star Wars IV? 3. Macindows, great shot--when do you sleep?

This is a fantastic photo, and wallpaper - thank you Macindows! I also prefer it without the moon though :)

Macindows, your "Azur Sunset" needs some prime IFL real estate, stat! Even though half of the photos my MacBook cycles through are already sunsets, nevertheless: holy crap, man! That shot is another capture o' brilliance.

Whoa. This one made my jaw drop. I was most impressed by the moon, but that was only until I found out that it's not real. hehe So, I downloaded the original as fast as I could and now it's my new wallpaper. I love it. It's so beautiful, and the colors are amazing. I'm really glad that you took this and I'm even more glad that you submitted it to IFL and that it got posted. And actually, I would love to see some of those other ones posted here as well! I love what you do with a camera.

Very nice. I like the shot with the moon as it kind of adds to the surreal appearance of the city, with both the moon and sunlight at opposite sides of the frame. IFL definitely needs more cityscapes :)

This is a really nice looking photo, as others have said, not sure about the moon, but i love the colours.
Again, the 1920x1200 version is marked wrong and actually a much higher resolution :(

If Darth MacIndows wants a moon in his shot, he will have his way. I on the other hand *did* download the moonless version. May the Force be with us all.

Congratulations with this amazing shot, I adore it!
I hope you don't mind my 'stealing' your title "Colors of.." with my photograph "Colors of Paris." My idea was to make a series of wallpapers named "Colors of.." with different cities by different photographers, here on interfacelift. Again, beautiful shot!

Hi Dirk, I was JUST about to nag at you about your title! ;-) I guess, New York is now off your list, in case you want to continue with you series?

I absolutely love this, very nice! However, like others have said, if you could go back into PS and remove the moon, then repost it, I would definitely download that one too. :-)

To be honest, this picture is way too over-processed for my liking. I'm curious for the origional one.

This is one of the most amazing pics of New York I've ever seen. Fabulously composed and the colors are simply fantastic.
Did you have a tripod? They wouldn't let me take my Tripod to the top of the roc last time i was there.
Anyways, just wanted to tell you how much I love this pic. I've had it in my rotating batch of wallpapers since you posted it :)
