What a wonderful blue sky. The field gives us the feeling of beeing free. Running through the field feeling nature. Shot some days ago in Rügen, Germany.

Wow! Excellent capture. When I first pulled it up, I thought it was computer generated. Great color and super clear. Keep up the great work.

I thought the same as nunyazz..It really looks a fake photo..have you modified it in some way?? Anyway it's a very relaxing landscape and the colors are clean and very vivid!

i love it. i love how the water hits the rocks in the back and the 2 ducks in the corner just complete it. would look better without the cars though, kinda distracting.

Wow. So dreamlike. You could almost have Microsoft commission that as one of their Windows backgrounds. Good work.

WOW man, it is really breathtaking, the sky is just perfect, not to mention the green field, really cool look @ that shutter speed, i believe there was a bit of wind that created that motion blur effect, its just a stunning photo. nice job, a bit jealous i admit :)

Thanks a lot! It's my first wallpaper which was submitted by Interfacelift :)
@purplesleevd
I'm not sure but it looks like rye or barley.
@lerch84
It's made of two pics - stitched togheter with photoshop cs4 by me. Both were RAW's - edited colours, saturation ...

Really, very nice. As soon as I saw the thumbnail I knew it was going to be my background. One of the best I have seen in a while. Good work.

A very pleasant picture indeed. I took the liberty of backing down the saturation just a tad. It made it look more life-like to me. Truly a "Field of Dreams."

When I first saw it it instantly made me think of the standard "Teletubby land" wallpaper of a new XP install :P
I like it though, it's my current wallpaper o/

As a professional photographer, I'm having a hard time believing that this image wasn't created in Vue. All the digital photos here have a crispness in the details and even those digital photos with dramatic colors are within the realms of reality. This image has blurred details in the foliage and the colors are impossibly out of gamut for reality. I've seen skies that bright blue here in Arizona, but the clouds aren't right somehow. It's an impressive image, but it looks like all the other impressive Vue images on this site, not a digital photo.
I can see the need to limit critiques to prevent flame wars, but if we cannot tactfully express constructive criticism, how are any of us going to improve if our feedback turns into meaningless at-a-boys or at-a-girls?
I've submitted 5 of my best racing photos here and none have been published for reasons unknown. I would MUCH rather have had someone give me some feedback to guide my future submissions or how I can do better.

^^ the last two posters have my support. It is pretty in its color and sharpness, but the sky and more importantly the clouds do not appear to match the landscape. It looks nice, while also seeming not to fit together in a way that unfortunately distracts me from relaxed enjoyment.

What an splendid photograph. Most wallpapers are only good for a couple days, then they get boring, but this one will be for some time in my screen.

Well... I still like the pic, but now knowing that is a combination of 2 photos manipulated in PS, I'm a little less wow'd.

I didn't realize it was taken in Germany until now. I've been to Germany before and while the country side is beautiful, its not as beautiful as this image.

I didn't catch the part about it being a montage. My apologies for the oversight and my erroneous comments.

I lived in Germany during the early 1970's for 2 years (and loved it there, BTW) but I never saw the sky that blue or even that clear there, for that matter! :-)

@unpocoloco, you sound like a kindred spirit of mine. I gave the author his due and honest praise for this work-I truly do like it. However, you, as do I, seem to prefer more natural depictions of nature in our photography. I know by the response of many in this group that the "wow" factor plays importantly in their tastes. I'm not here to claim that one view is more valid than the other-some people like chocolate, some people like vanilla. When I have some time this afternoon, I'll check out your work at http://interfacelift.com/goto.php?url=http://www.sigmagraphicdesign.com

Absolutely beautiful piece of work, there isn't a single thing I would change about it. This will remain on my desktop for a very long time. Would love to see more of yours.

I lived in Germany for 4 years,while serving in the Army.I can assure that beautiful scenery,such as this,is not uncommon in Germany.In fact it is quite the norm...

Nice, but it is as fake as they come. It seemes that the photographer hasn´t been close to a feel many times. Look at the detail in close and you will see.

You're right - I was a little bit lazy. Perhaps I will re-edit it - if yes you can find the updated version here: http://emats.deviantart.com/art/Summer-Wallpaper-III-124234624
