Is this HDR? Looks great!

Amazing composition of this phenomenal place, however I believe that extremely dark Grad ND filter was used thus making this image from photographic stand point a bit unnatural in my humble opinion. Upper right corner is way to dark for that specific setting. Ahh... I just noticed looking at your tags that this is an HDR. You have to be careful with HDR's tone mapping. Nevertheless I do love this great image which serves well as a wallpaper. Congrats on your first submission which reminds me that I need to submit something very soon as well.

I love the atmosphere of this photo..The darkness of the clouds and the reflection on the green water! I think HDR is not so evident..On IFL I saw photo in which HDR post-processing was much more evident!

Sorry, but I think you took the HDR a bit too far. Unlike those that can't even stand the thought of anyone using HDR, I think it can be useful when the conditions are as they were in this photo, but this isn't really a great example of it in my view.

A little more (or less!) tweaking and I think it could have turned out great. For example, the reflections in the water look very unnatural to me, the shadows on the right are way too dark (almost black, even though it's daytime) and there seems to be too much contrast in the picture overall which isn't too pleasing to the eye.

However, on the positive side the subject is interesting and the composition is also very good.

I do agree with most that the image is a bit on the dark side, but I actually like the effect it gives. It definitely wasn't enough to keep me from downloading it. I put it on my desktop right away and it looked great.

The composition is beautiful and my absolute favorite part is the water. It is so crystal clear since it is glacier-fed and the rocks at the very bottom of the frame are perfectly sharp. The only reason I would like to have seen this image a little lighter is to get a better glimpse into the water and its coloration.

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan. The image is so dark that it's hard to make out any detail.

I took the liberty of adjusting gamma and curves to lighten the image. My big question, however, is who lives under the rock? Have you seen any trolls in the area?

Excellent wallpaper. I voted for this. Yes it's dark and unnatural but I believe that is what makes it a great desktop. I wouldn't change it. For print, I would but for WP it's great!

Visited moraine lake during my time in canada and didnt get a decent picture, thanks for this awesome wallpaper it takes me right back there and the hdr makes it so unique

This scene is breathtaking, the snow on the mountains, the clouds, dark but with perfect reflections.

This is a beautiful photo, I don't really care if it supposedly looks too unrealistic, photography isn't just about makeing carbon copies of what you can see.
