Wow. Are you kidding me? I know we may have an abundance of landscapes but this is stunning. Just so clear and detailed and simply brilliant.

This looks like a Chris Gin work ;)..as your nickname says you're really a master! but there's something strange to me..why the clouds on the right look like they are painted with watercolour? maybe the're a little out of focus?

@lerch84, I'll take that as a compliment :) As for the clouds, maybe they were moving slightly during the exposure, making them a bit blurry.

Fantastic long exposure! I took a similar picture a while ago (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dominic_kamp/3620782290/sizes/o/) but yours is way better! It almost looks like as if you're between two cloud covers. Stunning!

Very nice photo. For me it's fun to imagine the blurred water to be low stratus clouds or fog and imagine the rocks sticking up to be the tops of mountains. Kinda gives an illusion of scale when you look at it that way.

I have been playing around with Adobe Photoshop CS4......and basically just learning some of the cool image enhancing features using some of these spectacular photos here at the world's best free wallpaper site!
This image in particular is one of my new favorites.....which I think I did a really good job with bringing out its subtle details of different shades & highlights using CS4. I'd love to share the bit of enhancing I did with anyone who might be curious to see & compare, just to get some feedback (either positive or negative) regarding what took me just a few minutes to do. Yet I really believe that most people, (even the original photographer) would likely really appreciate my enhanced version of this image.
PS. I only "alter" images like this one here for my own personal artistic education and creative enjoyment. Yet I wouldnt exactly call it "alterning" but rather truly ENHANCING is the word. Hope someone might be curious enough to want to see what I mean?

I am curious Sherwin but it sounds like you picked up a new toy and want to show it off. I understand I was the same way when I got my first copy of PS back in the day. Some photographers are cool with people manipulating their photos but some photographers present their pics the way they want them to be seen. Just remember anyone can get into PS and make a few adjustments and make a pic a little or a lot better in their opinion. What I appreciate about photos is all the hard work that goes into a pic before post processing. My main goal when taking pics is to get it right in the camera if possible. Anyone with PS can pop the colors, sharpen, clone and everything else with about 10 minutes work.
