Great photo my friend. Thanks for sharing it with us. A pointless waste of time? Jesus, some people are so...

the only time wasted was the time you took to write that comment.

HAHA. Nicely put Logan.

Anyways, yeah the trash does kinda catch my eye but I would imagine all of you who know how to use photoshop can get that out of there. I need to learn to, bad. But I like this image. Even though it's a landscape rcheng found a way to be unique about it. This is an excellent shot.

What's the point of expressing a negative comment if you aren't going to offer any form of constructive criticism? I like the photo, I'm from St. Louis, and this will likely be a wallpaper I use from time to time.

I am not a photographer but I've been downloading fantastic photos from this site for more than a year. I like the photo very much. I agree with neodk, if you aren't going to offer constructive criticism why bother. I can only aspire to take such photographs and hope to keep learning from all of you but that only works if you can offer something beyond negativity.

hmm didn't notice the "garbage" at all.. at worst it looks like bubbles or something in the water. anyway, when I first saw the image.. I thought it was generated. The transition at the top of the arch looks too perfect, and the colors on the dark side looks spectacular. Gives me another reason to want to visit St. Louis. Thanks for the wonderful shot

Great shot, but the blurryness in the water distracts me a bit.

i'm expressing my opinion.. and it is constructive, this image contradicts its title. this would be an awesome photo but the trash is kind of distracting
this page is for comments on the photo.. dont give me criticism

Beautiful and pacific. What graceful architecture.

@s1ipp3ry, if you don't want it to be a waste of time, why don't you wade into the water and clear any trash or debris--thank would be constructive.

great shot of the Arch man, been there several times, never seen this persepctive, almost otherworldly. Relax about the trash people its not like it's a sea of 2 liter coke bottles. Hard to get a original shot of the arch around there. Good work.

I like the original better.... The one PB uploaded is darker and the water has a ripple to it, no like. The trash is only trash after someone pointed it out. Excellent job on the photo, awesomely clear!!

Wow, excellent work, great photo, the version of PB is fantasticly corrected!...

Love the shot. The only thing I don't like is...it of course reminds me of the Cardinals, who whack my Giants every time they play.....:)

a better correction with original colors untouched

To be honest, I didn't notice the rubbish, until it was pointed out :)

The noticeable blue gradient in the sky almost makes it look (poorly) rendered.

i don't understand why people dislike the things floating in the water. it's natural. i like this photo. it don't need any correction.

Sorry about the trash guys. I already cleaned up the worst ones, didn't think what's left was too distracting. I will try to submit cleaner images in the future.

Halo! This is a very nice picture. For me it is a little futuristic. I really despise the pickiness of some people on this site.

No worries on the trash. Something wrong with a bit of reality? Now power lines, on the other hand... ;) A super image, by the way: Dramatic and clean. Good as it is. Those who have an issue with the trash probably aren't really a worthy audience, anyway. FYI, it looked more like plant-life, to me. Says something, probably, about predispositions.
