Dawn Departure
This High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo was taken in the early morning hours at Calgary International Airport (YYC). Our flight was going to Toronto. While waiting for the crew to get ready, the sky was giving us a nice show, which reflected in the aircraft's body.
Canon 40D with 17-85mm lens. HDR in Photomatix, minor level and saturation applied in Adobe Photoshop.

This is encouraging. On top of my site listed in my profile, make sure to visit my Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/craignos/ ), and let me know if there is an image you would like to see as a wallpaper here!

@Elliott Barer: Since this is an HDR image, that will have the side effect of removing some noise. Also, he probably started with a higher resolution and the reduction would also remove noise. However, camera settings can also affect this quite a bit. For example, ISO settings are a balance between light sensitivity and graininess. Higher ISO shots have higher light sensitivity, but are also typically more grainy. For HDR you would typically use a low ISO and intentionally "bracket" the exposure so that some shots are under-exposed and some are over.
So true. This is a really great photo and the HDR is spot on.
Thanks :)
