Yehliu... in Taiwan

August 5th, 2010

The distance measured from Yehliu Stop at Jijin Highway to the end of the cape is about 2.4km. The rock landscape of Yehliu Geopark is one of most famous wonders in the world. The costal line is stretching in a direction vertical to the layer and the structure line; besides, the influences caused by wave attack, rock weathering, earth movement and crustal movement all contribute to the formation of such a rare and stunning geological landscape.

That's a great picture :) A nice change from most coastal shots on here. Those rock formations look really unique, almost alien like.

But what's that red line on the right though?

Great shot and everything but..did the cliff with tower on it subside after it was built? Can't see any other reason why the tower would be leaning so much. It messes with my internal gyroscope ;)

many thanks !

this guy has a long record of solid, in some cases spectacular shots. this one however is one of those that - composition-wise - have been done to death. i'm keeping it though, since i like the 'blueness' of it, particularly the sky. it blends with the water, and it works. the lack of sun makes the picture stand out a bit. and as someone would say, at least it's not purple.

i have taken out the guy with the yellow hat in my copy though, and the red line too.

This is simply fantastic! I love how you included that guy on those rocks. I am sure I will be cloning out the tower though since it's not adding anything to the already amazing composition. I have no idea what quicksand is whining about again. Fantastic work! Thanks for sharing.

If someone uses a 16.10 and clones out the tower, can you post a link to it? I have no idea how to even begin cloning something.

Here you go ... as you wish! Two minute subtle tweaks. Enjoy.

Great colors. Your other work are stunning.
I have to say though, perhaps you should have used a narrower focal length. Foregroudn does not add to the picture.
