I was hiking in the woods when I saw this beautiful sight in Alingsås, Sweden.

You took this with an iPhone 4? Sweet crap. I know there's so post processing, but that's great.

It's obviously not as quality as it would be were the shot taken with a full out device, but even if some might not prefer it as a desktop because of that, it's still quite impressive just to see.

trout: Yes indeed, its taken with an iPhone 4 :) the post processing that is involved is very little, didn't take more than 10 seconds :)
yeah definitely not as high quality as maybe some of the other photos, but its impressive as you say. Whats more impressive is i think its the first photo that is on the site that's been taken with a phone camera :)

thank you for your comment mate. appreciate it

Better post-processing perhaps or taken with a camera other than a phone camera :)

For a phone this is certainly a nice shot. It kind of has a feeling to it you see with older, printed pictures, like this has been shot in the 80's or so. :)

The sky, especially in the upper right bit is quite noisy, which is a bit annoying for larger screens. On my macbook's smaller screen it works just fine though :)

Oh, and I think this is actually the second phone shot on here, there was one a while back; a picture of a mountain lake with a wooden hut on the left if I'm not mistaken.

Very good for a iPhone 4, nice exposure and the image was captured very nicely.

This would be a keeper if you took this on a real camera, the picture looks quite blurry on my 1920x1200 display. Once again it's nice to look at once, but I doubt anyone will keep it as a wallpaper due to the second rate quality.

I'm an iPhone 4 user myself, so may I ask what sort of post-processing you've done here? I assume you used some photo apps like PictureShow, etc.

Lovely shot, by the way. I might even upload a few of mine one of these days.

Not DSLR, but damn impressive for a phone. In fact, it rather puts my digital point-and-shoot to shame.

This picture looks kind of vintage, like it was taken on an older film camera, which is what drew me to it. I really love the colors, even if they aren't exactly true to life. It looks innocent, like an old home video. Someone mentioned the quality was bad but it looks great on my laptop (1440x900).

Composition is kind of strange but it doesn't bother me nearly as much as I thought it would. Definitely a keeper for me.

Thankyou

Great phone capture, was it done with the new HDR function on the iPhone?

Maybe could have done with a little more of the tree in frame. Well done however!

MattyG: thank you very much. No it was not taken with the HDR feature, i bet if it was it would have looked neat too :) ...

yeah there's a lot of things that could have been done to improve the image i guess, im not the master of post-processing :)

treefingers: indeed, i use it on my macbook pro, 1440x900 and it looks awesome with the 2d dock on osx ...something about the colors and the 2d dock that makes things look neat :)

appreciate it, glad you like it!

always room for improvement tho. i guess it can't be that great on huge monitors but its good on a laptop :)
