Easily the best sky and sun I've seen in quite some time on the site.

Could do without the boats, but still, they don't detract really.

I love the sunset, this is beautiful. My eyes are playing tricks on me, I can't tell what's going on in the picture! I see the waves, and then i see them abruptly stop at some edge of what appears to be calm water, or ice, or some kind of shiny dock.. But I can't tell what it is lol! Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is this supposed to look that way? Is that ice on the edge of the water frozen over? Sorry, I've never seen anything like this. Wonderful though!

I want to like this image. It's almost "there" for me. It is certainly different, I'll grant you that.

I must echo @quantumrift7's comment. I've looked at the image again and again and I still can't decipher its components--mentally I cannot interpret the image. Could we have a further explanation please? I'm sorry to say that I find it all a bit disconcerting. Perhaps a full daylight capture would literally shed some light on the subject.

Is this a photo of a sand bar at low tide? The way this is composed almost makes that darker area look rendered. It just doesn't "look" real. If the edge of the dry land were not so dark and had some definition, this would be much more appealing, IMO. The contrast is far too harsh for my liking.

@quantumrift7 the tide is out ...as you can see under the boat stuck in the mud in the foreground. the mirror like surface is just a small river of very calm water left in the mud flats... :o)

:)... yes that image is a little tricky. It messed me up for a while too.

Nice job though.
