We're Not in Kansas Anymore
I shot this abandoned barn at dawn. It is a composite of two images - one exposed for the sky and the other exposed for the foreground. If you look closely, you can see the spider webs in the tree on the left.

But I just thought I'd say that I LOVE this!
I love how it looks so surreal.
Anyway, it's one of my favs.
Thanks for shooting it :)
It's not always easy to find a way to make them more appealing
photographically. Great job.
keep up the good work - the technique you used for this shot is pretty cool. softens everything up and leaves it looking very surreal and peaceful.
i suspect the nasty tone of the first commenter was in frustration, because this is a super-tasty, unusual pic with a suprisingly bad, glaring font that has the opposite effect than what was probably intended; makes me want to avoid the URL advertized.
anyway, my compliments to the artist. that's my kind of place. thanks for sharing it.
I just resubmitted the image without the credit. Hopefully the website admin will replace the current one with the new one. Thanks again!
I really appreciate the decision of uploading it again without the credit. Even though the credit belongs to the author of course I ususally find it irritating in great pictures like this one.
In general I think the picture speaks for the author itself :)

I'm not questioning your work, I think its just a rough spot that got overlooked.
Beautiful picture at any rate. I have it featured as my wallpaper on my laptop!
I really love the photograph, it's serene and the colors all fit in so well. Great idea, but I'd hate to see someone with an eye for beauty leave over childish and petty comments.
For those who are always negative, here's a line that hopefully will change your perspective in life: "Attitude is the mind's paintbrush, it can color any situation."
Thanks again!
I love this pic. Can you explain what you mean by how it's a composite of two images? (what software did you use to composite them?)
And did you just take the picture with two different F-stops?
Your picture is very inspiring, I'm a student and I'm contemplating an artistic career. THANKS!
BTW, I don't see a text URL in the 2560x1600 shot (nor the 1440x900). Maybe you've taken it out since the first comment.
#1 No way that's real
and
#2 No way that's fake
Truly an amazing shot if you can make me question my own perception. Keep up the good work!
Stellar photo. Really amazing. There was one guy earlier (natemata) who said he saw some artifacts of photoshopping in the upper left of the picture. Out of curiosity, I looked closely and I think he was right. (I'm looking at 1920x1200) If you look on the leaves in the upper left, you can see that they are very dark but there are areas which have been lightened. The lightened round brush strokes are visible and the entire surface of the leaves haven't been lightened up - maybe it was a dodging tool. I hope you'll take this as constructive criticism.. I could only hope to ever shoot something this good.
The only thing I don't like is the first comment. =P So: CONGRATULATIONS!!! hahaah =P
The top-left area looks like it might be just the way the light is hitting the leaves.
This wonderful piece is probably my favorite wallpaper, and I have 117 being rotated by Wallpaper Master right now, all of which came from IFL. I like this one so much that, if I miss it in the rotation, I immediately go back to it when I return (for I always remember where it left off when I walk away from the computer).
