Eyes of the Vortex

October 26th, 2009
This happened October 26th, 2008 on a cloudy afternoon. I'm an aviation enthusiast and I was waiting for Iberia's Airbus A340 to arrive as I do many other days past 3pm but this particular afternoon, even if the sun was shinning, there was a big cloud blocking the way so I stayed alert for a cloud-breaking moment but never for one of this magnitude. It was breathtaking.
This photograph was taken with a Canon EOS 40D + EF 100-400mm L lens. I used Apple Aperture for editing and Adobe Photoshop CS3 for resizing.
