This picture was taken in October 2007 and shows the highlands around my hometown of Dresden, Germany.

This lonely tree has always been in my head, but whenever I drove by I was without my camera. This time I was prepared.

Amazing sky.

Portland Bill, Dorset. The title tells it all. I loved this moment, the colors changed so quickly. It was such a stunning sky, I didn't do much to the photo but here is some technical info: Canon 5D, Canon 16-35mm at 16mm, 1 second exposure at F/16. Lee Filter ND.09. Lightroom RAW conversion, Photoshop Levels, and a bit of saturation and dust spot removal, USM. For me Dorset is such an amazing place, I love it!

After waiting inside my car and a couple of attempts to take a nice capture. I headed from London to my home town in Portugal and wasn't aware of the snow and the cold local wind. At a temperature of -6 wearing only a t-shirt I decided to make it. I walked out of my car and quickly returned to my initial spot. After a few attempts with my freezing hands I managed to capture the magical light just one time. Regards. Joel Antunes.
