Colorbuds
September 4th, 2002
I keep a folder of graphic snippets and chunks that haven't fit other designs but are still a bit nifty. This "bud" began as one of those scraps. To me it looked like the promise of some fantastic bloom or untouched pigment daubed on an artist's palette. Now they're some of both, placed against polished stone for contrast. Here they are. Ta-dah!
Flying Pryde

Here's what I think. Sexual orientation is fundamental to the way that everyone comprehends and interacts. Being fewer in number, those of us who are not heterosexual must struggle to lead our lives on equal footing. Whatever lives we pursue, of this I am certain: acceptance and understanding do not develop unless we are visible.
These are my very visible icons. Colorful and sleek, they assert "We participate. We contribute. And yes, we have pride in who we are."
Note: These are not my only pride icons, so this set might not have what you seek. Do contact me if you are looking for other symbols in this style. I'm always glad to consider requests as long as they're civil!

Domicile

Houses that barely vary in style, sport neutral "colors" and identical mailboxes are creepy. Here, have some diversity! Based on styles found in America, the only common features of these houses are their doorways.
Charges
August 9th, 2002
I am still happily puttering about with heraldry-inspired designs, although shields have been put aside this time. Charges, the objects depicted on shields, are certainly icon-worthy by themselves. Here are six, glowing and gleaming in six colors. Which do you like best?
