Contained with this file should be 4 PNG images suitable for use as Finder replacement icons in MacOS X. To install copy an image to
as "finder.png". This may be accomplished in Terminal in OS 10.2 in the following manner:
% cd /System/Library/CoreServices/Dock.app/Contents/Resources/ % sudo cp /PATH/TO/newfinder.png finder.png
where '/PATH/TO/newfinder.png' is the fully-qualified pathname of the PNG image of the new Finder icon. An easy way to get this pathname into Terminal is to drag the image file into terminal after typing "sudo cp".
After replacing the Finder icon, it may be necessary to clear the icon cache:
% sudo rm /Library/Caches/com.apple.dock.iconcache.*
Log out and log in again and the new Finder icon will appear in the dock.
