Can't open folders with an eMac 1.42MHz G4, System Mac OSX 10.4.5. Finder can't find an application to open the folders.

Hay guys, do anyone knows how to change in MAC OS resources default icons for an icon of my choice? I search though System>Library> Core-services... found smart folder.icns , but no luck with finder folder icon. Or maybe, which even better, someone knows how to set automator service, where possible to set different icons? That would be cool, isn't it? Any help.Thanks a lot
