An avid amateur photographer, I've been involved mostly in filming rather than photography. I do find the stark contrast between motion picture and static picture quite a gap in terms of skills and familiarity. My motto for photography is that "to take an amazing picture, you don't need the best camera in the world. You only need a neat heart, sharp eyes and passion for the world and things you're going to see." By that, right now I own an SLR-Like Nikon Coolpix P510 as my primary gear. I really like it and it combines the power and efficiency for both filming and photography.
