This picture was taken onboard of a research icebreaker in the Arctic. As it happens, a polar bear must have come along this spot a short time before.

The beautiful Thórsmörk valley next to the Eyjafjöll volcano, better known under the name of its covering ice cap Eyjafjallajökull. The valley is located in the south of Iceland and the many arms of the river Krossá are winding between these mountains.

An old DC-3 plane-wreck on the deserted black beaches of Sólheimasandur in Iceland. The crew survived the crash in 1973 and nowadays it is one of the lesser known photo spots on Route 1.
