In Heaven

January 16th, 2010
When I was watching Peter Jackson's new movie, "The lovely bones", I got inspired by one of the many fantastic scenes in it. The wallpaper I created is based on this scene.
Oh, and yes, this is a digital composition! It's fake! Not real!
Adobe Photoshop CS4, the sky is from my "Driftwood" series, and the tree from "Cosmosition".

A digital composition created in Photoshop CS5. The photo of the sky was taken in Venice in April 2010. The photos of the tree and green hills were taken in Switzerland in August 2010. Enjoy!

Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock)
By Dominic Kamp
September 3rd, 2010
Preikestolen is a massive cliff 604 meters (1982 feet) above Lysefjorden, Norway. It takes you roughly two hours to hike the trail to the top, passing a couple of nice ascents and many, many tourists. And you better cross your fingers that it doesn't start raining from one minute to the other!
Nikon D700, Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED, ISO 50, 7-frames HDR, Adobe Photoshop CS4.

Asgard - Realm of the Gods
By Dominic Kamp
June 1st, 2011
When I saw the movie Thor, I was absolutely blown away by the Asgard interpretation and I told myself: "You gotta build that in Photoshop". So I did! It's a multi-layer creation, based on a series of Swiss Alps photos (one of them has been used for 1,000 feet above the Alps).
Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm, Adobe Photoshop CS5.

I took a trip to some of the Lord of the Rings locations in New Zealand and our guide explained to us that this area was chosen to be Ithilien in the movie.
