The Old Furka Pass
By Dominic Kamp
August 4th, 2010
The Furka Pass (elevation 2436 meters) is a high mountain pass in the Swiss Alps which I crossed over on my way home from Zermatt to Zurich. As I found out later, this pass has been the location for a chasing scene in James Bond - Goldfinger!
This image is a panoramic photo, stitched from 12 single frames using the program "Kolor Autopano". The sky has been replaced to make it look more dramatic and I used Nik Color Efex 3.0 to add some atmospheric warmth. Furthermore, I did some heavy repairing in Photoshop to get rid of the central roads, wires and other distracting elements. Finally, I added low opacity vignetting to focus the view to the center.

Matterhorn's Midnight Reflection
By Dominic Kamp
July 29th, 2010
After my little misinterpretation of Zermatt's traffic regulations (no cars allowed - $700 fine if you get caught), I ended up having to hike for 2.5 hours, 4 miles and about 1,000 meters in altitude with roughly 15kg on my back. Finally, I arrived at Stellisee, a small lake with a fantastic panorama of the Swiss Matterhorn. After I finished shooting, I hiked back the super dark trail, well prepared like any other mountain guide, with my new iPhone flashlight app! Photo comes straight out of the camera, so no further alterations.

Cloak of Night

I took this shot in Saint Jean de Luz, a fishing port on the Basque coast and now a famous resort, known for its architecture, sandy bay, the quality of the light and the cuisine. I only got rid of some elements on the beach to make it a bit more tidy. Otherwise, no alterations.

Apocalypto

May 21st, 2010
This is a digital composition of one of my Corsica shots from April 2010. The sky has not been altered apart from the white lit part on the left and some color and contrast editing.
The lower part is a digital reflection with ripples. If you've got any questions regarding the process, please feel free to ask.

Maldivian Night
By Dominic Kamp
February 4th, 2010
I took this photo during a full Moon night at the Huvafen Fushi Resort, North Malé atoll, Kaafu, Maldives. It was so bright that you could have easily read a newspaper that night!
I got rid of some human elements on the beach via Photoshop. Other than that, there has been no alteration. The original can be seen here.
