The Water Hole
May 14th, 2011
If you were staying in Okaukuejo, Namibia you would have the same view. Except that most of the year it is so dry that animals come to the water hole to drink. Here, it's the end of the rainy season and is as lush as it gets. That day no animals could be bothered to walk all the way to this oasis, however, the sky was putting on a show of its own for us.

Prehistoric Woods
November 16th, 2013
The fog was slowly dissipating from the forest, strolling along the cross country tracks of the Kimberly mountain resort in British Columbia, Canada.
I usually would discard as a "keeper" any shots taken with my iPhone, but this photo, as bad in quality as one could judge, doesn't take away from the fact that it looks like a painting, and in my view, becomes instantly a keeper!
I have NOT adjusted either the hue, saturation or contrast, I just love it the way it is.

Dawn Departure
November 30th, 2009
This High Dynamic Range (HDR) photo was taken in the early morning hours at Calgary International Airport (YYC). Our flight was going to Toronto. While waiting for the crew to get ready, the sky was giving us a nice show, which reflected in the aircraft's body.
Canon 40D with 17-85mm lens. HDR in Photomatix, minor level and saturation applied in Adobe Photoshop.
Bamboo
May 5th, 2010
Taken in Kyoto, walking through one of many zen gardens surrounding the temples. I knew the light was playing through this bamboo forest and I tried to capture the tall stalks by aiming from low to high, and I like the result!

Cotonwood Road
February 9th, 2010
The only road that connects byway 12 to Page, Arizona. It's an impressive dirt road which never ends, or so it seems. And here I had no idea I was a couple minutes from a nice paved highway, but I had to stop and glance at the moon-like landscape behind me.

When The Road Met The Sky
May 6th, 2010
Driving back from a great sky trip in Fernie, British Columbia, the sky opened up to let its blue color through. I just had to stop and lay down on my belly to quickly snap this shot as a car down the highway 22 was approaching. It was peaceful moment.

Kudu
January 14th, 2012
Walking near the big lake of Etosha National Park in Namibia is this male Kudu. With a dramatic sky in the background, I thought it would be a nice descape (desktop-escape). Now don't you go register this name online! Enjoy.

Air Transat vs Storm Cloud
April 21st, 2010
Back in July 2008 I was taking a break from work and went out on the roof of my office building with my camera. Little did I know there would be a huge storm cloud looking East which was almost in the path of airplanes attempting to land.
