A fire in Waimea Canyon provided a very vivid sunset. The rays are what first captured my attention, which later turned towards the pastel shades reflected on the water.

Though not your typical tropical sunset, we experienced this creamy sunset on the island of Maui. It was taken near twilight on a tripod with a shutter speed allowing a slight blur of the water.

Taken at Ke'e beach on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. This is the beach where the road dead-ends on the north shore and you can only continue by foot for the next eleven and a half miles.

Taken on the Ka'anapali coast of Maui, Hawaii. Molokai and Lanai can be seen on the horizon.

The crowds of people were avoided by climbing out onto a lava outcropping, which doubled as a unique foreground.
