Absolutely incredible. This is by far one of the best wallpapers I've seen here. Thanks for much for posting. I'd be very curious how you made this.

Wow, I would have never had the patience to make this wallpaper.
You have now earned my respect, and I don't even know you. haha.

Wow...I am not usually a fan of photoshop or other digital "creations" versus actual photographs, but this is extremely impressive. I can't imagine the amount of time and care you took in order to make the end product so precise. To top the whole thing off, the "Geek" adds a touch of humor that completely won me over. Congratulations on a job well done!

This is fantastic. The level of detail is excellent and and impressive. I'm a little curious why you didn't add expansion slots (PCI, AGP, etc), though they might have looked ugly and taken away from the overall image. Great work, thanks for the desktop!

It's definitely an extremely *impressive* piece of work, but I can't say that I particularly like the composition. Derek's other submissions simply blow me away (many have lived on my desktop), but I have to say that "Geek" doesn't do anything for me. Am I missing something, or do I just need to have a fetish for video cards? :-)

I usually have to edit the pics that are put up on here a little in Photoshop before they are "good" enough for me to use as a wallpaper.
But not this one. I love it! Its perfect!

jwervel16, I'm pretty sure it's intended to be a motherboard and not a video card actually (as it has DIMM or SIMM slots and an ATX power connector - albeit an undersized one perhaps from an older spec mobo). But yeh, you might have to be into PC tinkering a little bit to really appreciate, though I imagine this is intricate and interesting enough to appeal to a broader community.

Simply amazing, out of all the wallpapers I've downloaded this is by far my most favorite, I love how it says geek right in the center too, it really shows people who you are and it looks amazing, the amount of detail put into this is also amazing. I love it! How long did it take you to complete this?

Great wallpaper. Would it be possible to do this with various hues other than green? I'm thinking orange to match Microsoft's Zune theme for Windows XP, which can be found here:

Cool work, from one geek to another. ;)
Looks like you've got WAY too much time on your hands. Everything in it looks fantastic. Only one question: what's up with the S-Video input jack on a motherboard??? :-)

you are god (geek) :P
it's so detailed and polished. i just can't stoop looking at it.
but the word geek annoys me a little (not the word itself but the fact that it's made glossy)
it should look like it belongs to the circuit board you know. from the same material like the rest of the stuff there. the glass thing is just.. idk, not my thing.
but i still totally like it... it's very well done!

I love this background immensely but will never post it because the word is geek. Most anything else I would, however, this work is unique and I would never ask for a change.

What a brilliant image! The geek on it made me chuckle also, someone asked if they had to be a geek to get it...I think you do :p

Nice one I can't believe there's that many layers but the final flattened image looks amazing keep up the good work! =)
