Totality

September 6th, 2017

I almost didn't shoot at all. I didn't have solar filters, and didn't want to risk missing anything, but I decided to pop off a couple shots during totality while viewing the eclipse from a friend's property in Madras, Oregon. It was one of the most amazing two minutes of my life. An experience I will hold close forever.

Shot with a Sony A7rii and a Canon 70-200mm f4 IS.

Sony Alpha 7R.

Perfect shot, you must be proud of this one.

Side note, used it on my Dell 34" 3440 x 1440 curved monitor and noticed a small blueish spot below and left of the eclipse and assumed I had a dead pixel I'd not noticed before but noticed now because of the black background, however, have just set up a new 43" Phillips 4k Monitor and tried this wallpaper again, same thing, small blueish spot in same area, so it must be a distant planet or star, was buying the 4k monitor anyway, so no worrys here :)

Image is great, maybe worth mentioning in description you caught something else in area I mentioned though and it shows up on high resolutions, some may think like I did at first its a dead pixel.
