Doubtful Sound, New Zealand
By SkyHigh
December 9th, 2006
Another stunning location on the South Island. The Doubtful Sound is less well known than the Milford Sound but you shouldn't miss it. It's far more quiet and tranquil, fewer (if no) boats and tourist and the views from the water are next to nothing. By Ron Vink, The Netherlands.

I've been to Doubtful Sound myself, and this picture brought back a lot of great memories. That fog is great. :-) Thanks for posting.

this must be the location which was shot the most times, because that branch appeares literally everywhere. I love the fog though in this picture. Gives the picture a very natural frame.
My parents visited this site on one of the few days when it was actually not raining. So our picture on the wall is very different. Haha
(wat is het toch met Nederlanders en Nieuw Zeeland?)

Amazing picture, amazing country.
I hate to be a nitpick, but next time go a little easier on the shadow & highlight and saturation. Its a bit intense. But still a very neat effect.

Always enjoy having comments, so you're no nitpick, but to be frank I didn't color saturate the image, camera setting in that regard is also low (standard nikon setting is low). The fact is that the light in NZ is very bright and it colors the world different to what we're used too and all my oictures show these vibrant colors. Shadow and highligt I only use when going into print, but I did add some (and maybe a bit too much) contrast to the image.
Thanks all for the nice comments.
