Northern Sunset
November 8th, 2007
Frosty landscape in the high coast area of northern Sweden. I used a Nikon Digital and a tripod for this long exposure.

The moon isn't any more pixelated than the rest of the image. It looks like it was taken as a long exposure through thin cloud cover, which according to the description is exactly the case. Even at 200% it doesn't look too bad. Great color, good contrast, good composition... this one gets a thumbs up from me.

Sorry,
I still don't think that moon is genuine. If you think about the physics of the crescent feature of the moon the crescent would need to be angled lower to the right, it would not be that bright, and it wouldn't have been in front of the clouds as depicted in this photo.
I agree that this is a great shot, but I think the moon was added after the fact and does not add to the photo.
If to your point the moon was in fact part of the picture, a filter to dull the glow of the moon would have helped this composition.

@Björn: Strax bredvid Höga Kusten-bron är den tagen.
@Joel: No HDR, just a long exposure.
@interface: The moon is genuine. Could have used a filter but didn't. I like it that way.
@miguell: It is possible, I'll make it as soon as I can.
