That's amazing... you don't see anything like that here in the U.S.

*sigh*

Great picture. Very surreal. How long was the exposure?

Looks great! I like the angle, colors, and sunset. Great time of day for a photo.

Agreed! This photo looks so lively, it might as well be in flames. I love it.

(By the way, BenDiAnna -- "afire" would have been perfectly acceptable!)

#1 - Actually, there are a few places in the US that look like that. I live in Ketchikan, Alaska and it looks very similar to that. A coastal town built on the side of a mountain. The shape of the coastline is even very similar.

#6 - Right on, I've seen all sky scrapers and casinos in alaska, not to mention the yacht harbors for the dollar billionaires! ;)

Seriously, I've been to ketchikan a few years ago and it doesnt look monaco. A similar coastal line doesnt do the trick.

OK, I'll probably get flamed for this but let me preface my comment with the statement that I REALLY like this image. With that in mind the only thing that is distracting to me is in the upper right quadrant of the image on the hillside. The darkness is washed out. It almost looks like it was dodged a bit too much and it really stands out. If this little thing was corrected I think this image would be 100%. Thanks for a super image though. (could be a super-DUPER image though!)

To Jeffrey Picard:
As the author of the image I can tell you that the "washout" was really present when I shot the pictures (remember it's a HDR). It was a little fog coming from the top of the mountain.
Thanks for your appreciation.
