I have two criticisms with this shot. First, almost one-half of the image is murky and featureless (the sky). Second, Western viewers read from left to right, so the eye naturally scans from left to right. The composition of this shot also leads the eye from left to right, but on the right there's nothing for the eye dwell on. Try mirroring this shot in your photo editor and notice how you look at the picture then. The eye will have much more to look at as it rests. This picture isn't a bad first try, but you can definitely make it better. Wait for a different sky, a slight shift in position, and a different framing of the subject will make this shot pro level.
