Pretty interesting..Isn't the same house you have in another of your pictures?

i like the house really nice with the clouds, but HDR is not my liking you should get some filters and you will notice the difference, looking forward to a Autumn version of it! x

Very nice. I'd like to see this with rule-of-thirds framing so that the house is not dead center - i think it would be more interesting like that.
@BJBProductions: Yip, it looks a lot like "Lonesome House" from a different angle.

Wow, what a different kind of photo, it seems so pretty. Nice place that you gone to take this picture. When I see it, I think: I'd go to a place like that. Good job.

Quite a spectacular shot. However, I have to agree with annesville that altering the composition would be for the better. The background and foreground fight for the eye's attention. What compounds this is the that background is a totally "cool" blue and the foreground is a "warm" green-brown. Moreover, even being cool, the background's monumental scope again draws the eye to itself rather than complementing the foreground subject. Having said that, it's still a breathtaking picture!

Wonderful shot. I like this angle and 'framing' of the house much better than the other one.
The house itself is amazing. I would love to see more of it, close-up and interiors if possible.
Wallpapered and 'favorited'. Look forward to more.
Thanks

Superb shot!
I really love the lonely house on top of the small hill. The detail in the vegetation is wonderful. But... the way you colored only the lower part of the sky really ruins this otherwise great picture. It was the first thing that drew my attention when I looked at the full-sized image.

Amazing HDR! Keep up your good work. Your images are top notch. Despite the cries about the composition I think it looks great and I believe it was almost required based on the setting. You can't always use rule of thirds. Sometimes braking rules brings you fantastic results. Keep up good work buddy.

Holy CRAP, that's a desktop! Total harmony between art and skill. Great color and composition. My new favorite. Thanks!

Great picture, although perhaps a little too much HDR. It truly is a breathtaking image, almost surreal, but I think the HDR takes away from it. I'm gonna have to agree with Igor on this one that, for this particular shot, the rule of thirds simply doesn't apply. Going on my desktop right now!

Cool shot. I'm surprised at the comments about the HDR being too much - it looks quite subtle to me. I love the way the trees in the foreground seem to create a 3D effect.

So...I may be wrong, but doesn't this picture fit just fine into the rule of thirds? You divide the picture into thirds vertically and horizontally and you end up with 9 boxes...one of which is smack dab in the middle...right? And as for everything else, it all seems to be divided quite nicely into each third, vertically and horizontally.
Some might prefer the house off center, which is fine...everyone has their own likes/dislikes as far as composition. But am I wrong about this picture fitting just fine into the rule of thirds?
Overall, I find this picture quite stunning! Great job!

Great shot. Like the color and the decision to leave in the trees in the foreground. I think they really add good depth to the shot.

Cool picture, but what is that brown pointy eared creature peaking it's head out over the dirt pile in the lower left... it's creeping me out!

Yes I agree, it's a great picture. But how can you NOT see that the sky was edited! The white band that runs across the sky is very unnatural. It seems only the lower part and the upper left-hand corner sky is colored. I wonder why the photographer did this! It ruins the picture. Very unnatural.

Hmm ok, Giovanni. I belive you. Sorry.
But why is the lower part of the clouds orange, and the top white?

January: I do not know. The lights on the sky was very strange in the past Saturday. Photos taken in the afternoon, and when I see the picture I stopped the car and immediately shot. In a photograph taken five minutes before the 'orange cloud' is in a different position ... perhaps the sunlights reflects on it in a different way because of the different altitude clouds ...

Giovann Di Gregorio: Yeah, that sounds reasonable. But anyway, it's a very good photograph. I love the detail and the lighting is just perfect. Keep posting more pictures :)

Hi Giovanni -- it looks like there is some ominous animal peaking at us from behind the dirt pile. I'm also curious about those rabbits! We're referring to this area: http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/7320/creaturesl8.png

At first I didn't like the trees covering part of the house, but then as it stayed on my desktop I like how the house has an eerie hidden feeling.

The breadth of color in this image without being overpowering is what draws me to it again and again. Definitely a perennial favorite that never gets old for me. Thank you!

I'm hoping that the earthquake in Abruzzo didn't destroy that "Lonesome House". Giovanni I hope you're okay and that your family is alright also. Pregiere per tutti.

Thank you for your interest. Me and my family are okay, our town is 80 miles to the center of the quake, and the Lonesome House is intact.
Thank you, and continue to pray for the people of Abruzzo.
