Hmm.....Personally, I don't have a taste for this photo..

Thanks for posting!

I think this needs some modeling, i.e., that is some shadows created by the girders. Having that would make the image more three dimensional and in the process reveal its massive size and weight. Also a background of some sort would add rather than detract from the image. This subject, although composed of stone and steel, needs to breathe a bit.

I like it. Unique. Thanks for the submission.

I actually think the absence of any shadows or background make this especially interesting. It almost appears to have been shot in whatever those rooms are called where they photograph stuff for publications. It's like you've found a way to remove everything but your subject. Cool concept.

Just seems "chopped off" to me, its a nice pic, and I love technology, but this is lacking something, almost but not quite there

Interesting subject, I like it. I'd like to see someone's take on the business end of such a beast.

Oops! I actually meant to say "when someone like stubulman..." Sorry. Hopefully the double post will go away as well. Sometings InterfaceLift's comment system has a bit of a hiccup. Man, I wish you could edit your comments!

Jeffrey, granted some people will use the Vote system to seek vengeance on a comment they disagree with, others just disagree. For instance, when I read stubulman's comments I disagreed, so that was the button I clicked. Had nothing to do with not wanting him to comment, or being angry with him for what he said. Thanks for looking out though man. The kindness and moderation in this forum is appreciated.

Thrawed, you're quite an artist. Keep up the good work!!! Try to ignore the negative comments from people who can't accept your creation the way it is even though you may be very happy with it. I mean, I feel that you're happy with it because otherwise you wouldn't be sharing it. I know I wouldn't share something unless I were happy with it. And if I weren't, then I'd make sure to ask for help in the description on how to make it better.

Well said Jeffrey. I actually like this one, but I agree it could be improved with some tweaks (as with anything, really). Lots of people here have knee jerk reactions to criticism and I think it's absurd. Obviously not everything can be great or perfect -- this ain't kindergarten! :-) What's wrong with high standards?

Hi everybody. I rarely if ever rate a comment. The reason stems directly from Trout's "on point" post. I think the "agree/disagree" system presents one with a false or limited choice. Trout's opinion did disagree with mine--well and good--I respect that. I would rather see a rating choice such "merit/no merit." Consequently you are at liberty to disagree with someone but indicate that their opinion is well taken. I would also like to be able to edit a post. I am not the world's best typist and I make mistakes.

@stubulman. Thats exactly what I think about this ratting system. Some people (in my humble opinion) sometimes choose the "disagree" choice without understand the others members commentary. Yes, other options of ratting are needed. And fast. This is an unfair voting system. Thank you guys for the your best effort and amazing pictures for free almost daily. That's the essence of the true Art. Sometimes very good, others a lit bit less than the usual. But Art. We can love or hate the pic's here, but keep in mind the freedom of choice and variety. And for this thank a lot Interfacelift.

Ok lets get away from having throat cutting comments posted to EACH OTHER. Thats what emailing is for. this is a blog for posting comments about the photo. not someone elses comment. Nice work again, keep it up.
