Wallpaper Details: Autumn Is Here
Autumn is Here
By Dominic Kamp
January 30th, 2009
Summer certainly flew by and while I occasionally wish we had just one more month to squeeze in, I realized that since my fingers are almost frozen, autumn definitely arrived! P.S. Meanwhile it's Winter!

I like the composition a lot, but I think I would have gone into the hue/saturation panel and toned down the yellow channel a bit. It's just a bit oversaturated, I think.

Nice shot though I would have preferred it without the people in it, except the dog the dog can stay...

Saturation be damned. Beautiful mise-en-scene. I just love this stuff. The dismounted bicycle, the couple walking away and the vanishing point with sun at the horizon all lead the eye from the left to the right. Very painterly composition. I guess IFL's message board can't handle accented characters.

Beautiful photo. I would agree, and say that the photo is a little oversaturated, but nonetheless I love it :)

Beautiful!! I am jealous of your camera and your photographic eye. I'm still using a Rebel XTi and I'm pretty sure it's not capable of capturing all those beautiful colors. This is truly a scene that I think a lot of people take for granted and hardly ever stop to pay attention to because so many of us are always busy and on the go. Excellent job!!

Wow. A request, a submission, and a day later it's up. Thanks Macindows and IFL. As to this photo, it would've easily made it onto this site without a request. Seriously great stuff man. And from looking on your flickr page, there are many more you should submit if you haven't already. Thanks again for the new desktop.

Thanks for the critics! I know that I played a bit too much with saturation and levels on this one. However, I have to admit that it's one of the first RAW pictures I've taken and I was simply amazed, how much more you're able to tweak your picture in comparison to a regular JPG. That's basically how it became like this. If you want I can still upload either the original or the less edited version to my homepage.

I think you need to create a wallpaper section on your Flickr page. Don't stop submitting here, but you've got so many nice shots IFL couldn't fairly get to them all for quite a while.

wow...ithink the saturation actually gives it a more thoughtful and reminiscent look to it. i like this image, but the scattered focal points kinda drive me crazy @: ) (Elvis Emoticon)

Absolutely love it. I'm a huge fan of pictures like this with a lot of light and love the hue/saturation. The yellow is part of what makes this photo so great.

Very Good Snapshot. This can double as a sunrise in the summer. I mean I can see it as that anyways. Good job nice clean shot.

Beautiful work, Macindows, as always. I'm not usually a fan of people in beautiful scenes like this, but it works here. Also love the colors and saturation, fits nicely with all the other great stuff on IFL.

I really love this wallpaper! I thought I recognized Hyde Park, London. Is it where it was taken there ?

I noticed you said you might post the original? I would like that so I can play with the colors myself. =) I love the feeling in this one it's very postcard-like. Agree the contrast of the entire piece, and saturation of the yellows were raised a little too much. Love almost everything you do man!
