I like this shot but I agree those small rays seem like they are appearing from the wrong spot. Im a fan of vignetting though and like what you've done with the edges. Nice shot. Can I ask where you've taken it?

The reason why the rays are coming out of the wrong spot is because that's where the sun actually is, but due to the "long exposure", it looks like the sun is more to the right since it is so bright right there. Anyway, the reason I'm posting is to just say "whoa." I mean, I don't think I have ever added a wallpaper to Wallpaper Master as fast as I did with this one. I think I had it added within 5 seconds of looking at it. That's how much I like this shot!! Thank you for submitting it!

Wow Macindows, slow down, let me savour these wonderful shots for a little while. I like to change my desktop everytime I find another I like, but your last 3 shots have been worthy of a lot more screen time than I'd be able to give them if I followed that rule. Keep them coming, but give me time to breathe before you take my breath away again.

The rays are wrong in the wrong spot. Look at the reflections in the water, that's where the sun is.

ge0se said, "The rays are wrong in the wrong spot. Look at the reflections in the water, that's where the sun is." This certainly may be a bagatelle but, yes the water is reflecting the bright spot in the sky. Indeed the sun is behind the cloud. The rays are emanating therefrom in accordance with physical laws. The bright spot is a thinner area of cloud through which light is passing. As a source of light it is duly reflected in the water. Finally, Macindows' professional ethics would not permit his offsetting the sun's rays.

Sweeto! All the colors are so different from a typical sunset! You captured it greatly. What's the matter with those waves? (not a negative comment) There's a few on the side with a flattened area (maybe a sand bar), and one centered diagonal one! Are those waves from a possible boat? Concerning the rays, isee it as another great aspect of this picture's uniqueness.

Beautiful shot. It's tough to find such a perfect time when the sun is setting in the middle of the sea like that with your camera. I can fit this wallpaper with anything that I do. I can look at it, and I will feel completely relaxed. I can listen to any song and fit it well with this background. It's so beautiful, nice work.

Fantastic shot. I find myself changing wallpapers almost every week and it's all thanks to you. Just when I think I've found the perfect wallpaper you post something even better. Keep up the good work!

Please stop saying that the sun rays are in the wrong spot. I mean, that is absolutely impossible! The sun's rays are coming from the sun! How could they be in the wrong spot?! Just follow the sun's rays, and then you will know exactly where the sun is, and judging from where the rays are coming from, it's most certainly not that super bright spot sticking out of the clouds! That spot is bright because of the longer exposure. So again, please stop saying that the rays are in the wrong spot!

Exactly Tim H. The sun is hidden behind the dense part of the cloud, lighting up the right which is less dense. It's also only the reflection of the lit part of the cloud you see in the water, and not the sun itself. Makes perfect sense! Really good shot Macindows!!

Macindows, you've outdone yourself. Beautiful! The thumb looks like a painting! I like the vignetting, too... adds to the effect.

It's clearly visible and about the only thing that bothers me about the image
