The bridge from a little different perspective. The place is usually packed with people even in a blistering cold weather!

Wow, I'm AMAZED! Dude, you live in NY? I've been living here for 12 YEARS! I got my first ever DSLR camera last week, a Nikon D80, and I will be starting to take amazing pictures all over NY soon and will post them up on interfacelift. Maybe we can talk or something or become buddies and take pictures in NY, eh? Anyway, this picture is amazing. Beautiful lighting, perfect shutter speed and the clouds really make up the picture.

Very nice picture indeed!
The lighting and the clouds are amazing!
The blurry people add a really nice feel to it too!

Very nice work! As White-Fusion said, the blurriness of the people add a great effect. This is a really nice photo and the brickwork doesn't even look real, i mean it looks out of this world. Keep it up!!

Very trippy perspective. It looks abnormally tiny in this photo thanks to the pedestrian juxtaposition. Almost like a footbridge. Most photos of the BB strain to capture its enormity, but you've done the opposite. I like it!

This is excellent. I love the different purples and blues. I made my dock auto-hide just to enjoy the blurry people at the bottom of this pic.

Great photo, not my favourite angle of it though. I think theres a spot of to the right where you can get right down by the water and get some neat foreground rocks into the shot.

Looks like a great evening in the Big Apple. The Brooklyn Bridge is standing proudly, people are out and about, and all's right with New York. Nicely captured mood. Hey Brizkit my good friend, respectfully look up the definition of enormity. Your English fanatic Stu.

Aaah the BB. Very nicely done. Like your other great works, another worth image for have in my library.
Speaking of libraries, I wonder how many of you have your system setup to change your computers wallpaper on its own every few minutes or so? On my Mac, mine changes ever 5 minutes...what about yours?
Thanks for sharing. :D

Certainly a cool perspective on the bridge - gives you a nice sense of the size of it.
@golf007sd - I have my wallpapers changing every 10 mins on my Windows box :-)

Yeah golf, I've got the same thing going. 193 IFL pictures that it cycles through, changing every 5 minutes.

Hi, golf. I had mine set at 15 minutes, but with the flurry of new stuff constantly coming in, I decreased it to 5 minutes.

I hope this doesn't violate he "Fair Use" doctrine, but here is what the dictionary on my iMac says, "enormity |iˈnôrmitē|
noun ( pl. -ties)
1 ( the enormity of) the great or extreme scale, seriousness, or extent of something perceived as bad or morally wrong : a thorough search disclosed the full enormity of the crime. I know this is off topic, but I'm just trying to give brizkit the razz.
• (in neutral use) the large size or scale of something : the enormity of his intellect. See usage below.
2 a grave crime or sin : the enormities of the Hitler regime.
ORIGIN late Middle English : via Old French from Latin enormitas, from enormis, from e- (variant of ex-) ‘out of’ + norma ‘pattern, standard.’ The word originally meant [deviation from legal or moral rectitude] and [transgression.] Current senses have been influenced by enormous .
USAGE This word is imprecisely used to mean 'great size,' as in : it is difficult to comprehend the enormity of the continent, but the original and preferred meaning is 'extreme wickedness,' as in : the enormity of the mass murders. To indicate enormous size, the words enormousness, immensity, vastness, hugeness, etc., are preferable."

The Mac has a long standing feature that allows the automatic switching of desktop backgrounds, aka wallpaper, at set intervals. I don't see this feature on my Vista computer. It's a very nice thing to have--no muss, no fuss.

norcrawler, not sure what type of OS you are running but as stubulman stated, on Mac OX X we are able to setup our OS to change our background as we like. This is done by going into our Systems Preferences and selecting Desktop & Screen Saver. For there you pick a folder where you keep you images and then place a check mark on the "Change pictures:" you have to pick the time intervals. For those of you that have a Windows you can try this application. It works on XP and Vista (I think) http://www.worldstart.com/weekly-download/programs/powertoys_wpchanger.exe
