Mini Manhattan Bridge
February 24th, 2009
I was walking along the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City and took this with a tilt-shift lens.

you say the subject is the Manhattan bridge, but it isnt the center of focus, as BJB said it needs focus on the subject, apart from that im a fan of tilt-shift

Nice try but I think you missed "the mark" on this one. Keep at, I'm sure you next one will bear fruit.

yeah... even though it makes it a unique perspective, the bridge out of focus and the odd shadowing is dizzifying. so much confusion and blur didn't fit my desktop. thanks, though! this perspective takes a good eye!

Hey... I took the photo.. I agree with a lot of the comments. At the very least, the bridge should have been the focus. It was my first adventure with a tilt shift so I was still getting used to working with it.

Nice to see criticism offered and received with good attitudes. Looking forward to your next submission Andrew.

Have to admit this one's a little unpleasant to look at (both physically and aesthetically). The noisy blur and the confused subject don't do anything for me. My eyes keep leading to that unremarkable building cluster. Not a bad idea, it's just not executed very well. Keep submitting, though!

I like it, been looking for something like this for a while( NY style with apartments and bridge). But just one little problem for me is the blur. I taught maybe it would look better without it! Good idea though
