Gyrotour of Futuroscope

March 12th, 2009

It's French describing the height and architecture. This makes for a beautiful desktop.

For some reason I thought this website was in English. Great picture, horrible idea to put the description in French. Time to pull out the dashboard translator...

In europe the french are pushing this idea that they should just speak french even when nobody else does. They do stu[id things like phone into english speaking tv and radio shows then speak french at the presenter then start getting angry and swearing if they're not understood.

It's really typical of the rude and hateful french. They have such a hug chip on their shoulder against the rest of the world. Probably because we know their history...

@SumYungGuy
Isn't IFL a Wallpaper/photography site? It certainly says "Free High-Resolution Wallpaper". This being said, I don't get why the french description is pissing you off.

Anyway, very nice picture you got there. Gray, calm and far away of being destractive for the eye. Nice shot!

Nice shot, but your description of the view from that tower sounds even better. :-) Any captures from up there?

Some (approximate, sorry) translation...it sounds like an advertisment for the Futuroscope (more than a description for the photo). Anyway:
"This observation tower lift you up softly, to 45 meters high. That's a real pleasure for the eyes to discover the original and audacious architecture of the Futuroscope. From the highest point, the view is unforgettable."

I hope this will avoid some chocking posts like some of the ones I read here (SumYungGuy: who's the most hateful?)

beautiful! this is simple and awe-inspiring. even with the lack of many colors, this tower is truly majestic. its so huge, and i love the people inside. we are all so small, aren't we?

Concerning these malicious posts above, it is so unnecessary. Posting should compliment or fault with the picture, not the description and nationality. These posters, we don't thank you for your unwanted comments, and next time leave things that aren't always your way alone.

Why are some people complaining about the language saying it's dutch?!
It's a hard thing to say to a dutch guy like me. Even I have problems reading french.

But overal its a very nice picture with a nice calm scene in it. So complain about the picture and not the laguage the info is being posted in. Look further than english!

Keep up the good work "H!pOp"

Personally I would really like to go on this ride and see the views that it has to offer myself. If I ever find myself their, this would be on of the attraction I would visit. As for the photo, it is respectable. Thanks for sharing...Au revoir :D

We have something like this here in Minnesota at the State Fair Grounds, although it's nowhere NEAR as beautiful and elegant as this one! I'd like to see more of it as photographed by you, H!pOp. Anyway, the remainder of my comment is directed at the haters (you know who you are): you are missing the whole point of this submission. It doesn't matter what language was used in the description. As FullCircle pointed out, these wallpapers are free! Besides, there are no rules against using a language other than English. So, what gives you the right to attack H!pOp, or rather, who do you think you are? Does H!pOp OWE it to you to speak English? No, absolutely not. It's much wiser to just enjoy the photo and then move on instead of nit-picking over such trivial things. And furthermore, by attacking H!pOp for not using English, you are being a troll. Yes, a troll. But, I know that's NOT what you want to be! Anyway, back to H!pOp: please keep the submissions coming! I am enjoying this one!

H!pOp: thank you for saying so. It helps me prove a little point: whenever I see somebody using a language other than English on an English-speaking website (where it seems nobody is using a different language), then I just give this person the benefit of the doubt and assume that they would much rather not use English because they're not very good at it (and we all know that it sucks to lack skill at something in a place where everyone else is really good at it). So, to you haters: this is a good lesson for you so that you never do something like this again.
