This composition instills a sense of mystery - the streets are devoid of people, animals or things, closed doors and windows....the town seems to be completely abandoned.

Trout, I must say that I agree with you ;-). This image is a joy to behold. Compositionally it all fits together. It definitely does put the viewer in the midst of the scene. Daniel what focal length did you use? Magnificent work!

ops... Thank you! =) Original photo without manipulation http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/1526/dsc08110a.jpg ... Focal length: 18.0mm, Focal Length In 35mm Film: 27.0mm, F3 / 5. I was not a good setting, could have greater sharpness.

Awesome pic. great perspective. As for the "town looks abandoned" comment I must disagree. There is a lady carrying a baby and a car in the middle of the pic.
