Stunning as usual Chris, I guess many others will have identified this as a "Chris Gin" photo as soon as they saw the thumbnail, if you charged for lessons I'd come out with you for some shots! Thanks, Dan

Thanks Daniel. Your DeviantArt portfolio shows some promise, I'm sure we'll be seeing some of those on IFL soon enough!

I like that particular effect that the water has in your photos..and you're very lucky to live in places like that :D

Top shot. Very natural, swell colours and great use of thirds in both respects.

Daniel Houppermans: that's funny, because I looked at the thumbnail and almost immediately knew it was one of his pieces of work. James: I just noticed the use of thirds "in both respects". I'm glad you pointed that out. Nice work, Chris. I'm really glad you submit photos to IFL.

Some might say, "If it weren't for the sky, sea and shore this picture would be like any other." I say it's the man behind the camera. Chris, I think you could make a beautiful picture out of the Auckland telephone directory. Thanks for all your contributions.

I bet within a week we have a wallpaper of the Auckland telephone directory. :) And no doubt it'll be worthy.

Tech data: Canon 40D, Sigma 10-20 @ 10mm, f/11, 4 sec, 4-stop graduated ND filter, and most importantly, great colours from mother nature.
