Yeah, I know it's too pixeled, but what can I do, it's the screen :(.
Don't be so rude with your comments please :s....

Santiago Castellanos, maybe my negative comment was against IFL which posted this piece even if it's not a high quality wallpaper..I know it's not your fault if the screen is too pixeled, and I think this is basically a nice idea but it doesn't work ad wallpaper..that's all folks ;)

p.s I don't understand why people rated me bad even if I said almost the same thing as Myles :P

Strange thing is this works very well as a wallpaper

I think the negative feedback is due to the way the blur turned out. It almost makes the address bar wobble or something. It's kind of like an optical illusion. But, I do like how much effort and work you put into this. I mean, it really shows. The attention to detail is most DEFINITELY there, and I appreciate it very much. It's also interesting how Digg is in focus. Anyway, I'd really love to see more wallpapers like this from other artists as well.

One of my most favorite...
Pixels didn't take my focus from things on my desktop, because places that I keep my icons, has been blurred by a talented artist :D
Good angle and Cool idea.

I think it's really cook, but the idea. I'd never use it as a wallpaper, but this is unique.

It's a powerful image, and I rather like the macro shot of pixels. However, I strongly suspect my attraction to it is a one-time thing, and if I added it to my rotation of 1-per-minute wallpapers, it simply wouldn't take my breath away every time I see it.

IFL is trying to bend to lots of audiences here, guys, because Santiago recently made a comment that not just the pros should get spotlight, and that space should be allocated for amateurs as well, so they can have critical feedback. IFL changed its function around for Santiago at least - this is about him, not about our consumption, necessarily.

Too pixelated, and I doubt there's a way to change that.

I think we aren't blown away because it is an image that we see every time we open our web browser. I can just scroll to the top of this page, and look at my monitor from the left hand side and see the same image. Its an interesting idea, but doesn't have the same effect as gazing off into something you don't see a few times a day.

I laughing at people saying it's too pixelated. It's a close up shot of a computer screen, of course you're going to see the pixels.

I personally agree with slippery, i think it works well as a wallpaper. Especially as i have my icons lined up on my left and right, nicely positioned over the blur so the blur isn't too distracting.

WOW,, I'd never put it as a wallpaper, but when I did it, it was actualy pretty good, the blur on the sides its perfect for the icons!
I guess is just depending on your own judgement, so feel free to write wathever you think about it, feedback its always welcomed :)

I have submitted many wallpapers with not on apparently "making the cut".

Yet, junk like this finds it way onto the Interfacelift website.

I like it. Interesting perspective and the pixelation actually seems appropriate in this case. But it's more stock photography than wallpaper.

I am sorry for this but, I have submitted many things of much higher quality and creativeness, and not a singe one gets accepted. When I saw this picture this afternoon I flipped, because I had just submitted a beautiful picture of the setting sun that was zoomed in on the sun so you could actually see the sun as a body, as it was setting in the Carribbean last week, when it was taken on a Cruise.
So I am sorry, but this does not deserve to be on here.

I completely agree with DanV. I have no been impressed by what the webmaster has been choosing lately. I'm not upset that it isn't my stuff getting accepted, I just can't believe (for the exception of a few recent works on here) that stuff like this has been getting picked lately. This is stock photography, not wallpaper.

I think it's very difficult to satisfy everyone :/
For the people that said that they can't get their wallpapers posted, don't get discouraged, keep tryin', Im sure you can do it. A week ago I was thinking the same...
Thanks EVERYONE for your comments (it doesn't matter if they are good or bad).

Santiago, your last submission really impressed me. This one just seems dull and uninspired. It looks like a test shot you took while browsing the net, not a piece of art. The noise and discoloration are what makes it look poor -- not the pixelation. I know this comment will get stomped on for the sake of automatic praise, but as usual, nobody is actually downloading the photo (I think for good reason). Get back in your element and give us some more superb macro life, Santiago! You've got real talent.

Thanks brizkit, I see your point. You know, when I submitted this image I never thought that it would be posted! When I saw it this morning, I was shocked, I couldn't believe that this was actually posted. Strangely, from 6:00 A.M. until now the downloads are around the 6,000's.
But I know my highs are the macros. Right now I'm seeing the possibility of buying a new macro lens. So let's wait and see what I can do with it!.... :D

It brought a smile to my face because of it's irony. Although it would only ever work on this site, submit to any other website and you'll get laughed off the Christmas card list. Deliberate attempt to get a feature on this site and not to display a great wallpaper me thinks.

I love how "photographers" are complaining because their work has not been featured on this site. It's probably not been picked because it's not original and/or it's amateur. Your complaining says it all.

“You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one.”
