I can't say it's a wonderful shot..thing I like more is the contrast between nature with green grass and the bridge and the city.

Nice composition.
Where was this shot taken? It reminds me of a spot in South Korea just outside of Daegu. Its probably not but I'm guessing its somewhere in Asia.

Is this another shot of a sunset with cranes, unfinished bridges, partially cloudy sky, grass, flap-topped stones, still water etc? I really like it!! I think it needs some dickering with the midtones, though. Thanks for the submission.

Really nice! :) It's so unique, and that's what I often look for in a desktop wallpaper.
Thanks for the submission.

breave roy's night time shots are one of the best on this site, but i'm not sure what this picture is supposed to mean, or say, or do....if anything this picture should have been called 'pointless'. it's not bad per se, it's just so....pointless.
i'm not even sure i should be critiquing it since it doesn't even look it was meant to be taken let alone submitted. what am i supposed to look at? the dirt? the dime-a-dozen bridges in the background? it doesn't even work as a sunset. and where's the unfinished bridge? those little awkward rocks stuck in mud were supposed to be piers?? i dont think so.
comon roy! 'c-curve', Chongyang or dadaocheng were all brilliant wallpapers but this one is a loser. stick to the night.

I'm a little more subtle. In this photo there are many variations and themes, such as Burn said, no one knows exactly where to look. But this does not make it useless, pointless. The idea is good but lacked a bit of warm colors that could make the photo more 'powerful'. It's an opinion. I hope you understand. Thanks for posting this.

I am afraid I don't like it very much.
The lens flare from the sun does nothing for the picture, the tonal range is very restricted, it's not especially 'pretty' and there are far too many 'focal points' in the picture to the extent that one had to ask "what is this a picture of?" The eye is simply pulled in too many different directions at once.
Technically, the exposure is ok, I suppose, and as a 'record shot' it stands but as art it certainly doesn't. As an example of BraveRoy's portfolio, I find that this one is, sadly, a jarring exception to what is, otherwise, excellent work.

I like the industrial setting, its very clever. If it ever gets finished constructing, u should take another picture of it.

Yeah... While I really like nearly every thing IFL presents from you, I'd have to say that this one - while it has some nice aspects - feels itself somewhat unfinished.

Hidden meanings abound in this picture. Even the rocks in the stream are not random, but were clearly chosen for their uniformity of shape and size. The only truly natural thing in the scene is the sunset. As far as composition is concerned, I disagree with Tony about there being too many focal points. Perhaps he needs to squint at the picture to eliminate distracting detail. One does not have to enter a picture from only one direction. Likewise there is no rule that the center of focus (in this case the sun flaring behind the clouds) has to be what a picture is "about." Nor does a photo necessarily have to be "pretty", though the colors here are lush and warm. This image may not be ideal as wallpaper, but it's strong and interesting nonetheless. It does violate a few rules of composition - but on the whole these violations add to the power of the image more than they detract.

I agree with WhiteDog.
To me this picture is so cool because you have some mud, rock's, grass, murky water, average city buildings, craines and an unfinished bridge, wich in most cases would be an ugly site to behold and one that we would tend to avoid, yet BraveRoy was able to see it how it really is, amazing and beautifull.
Add to that a great image detail, lightning and sharpness.
Amazing pic!

Masterful work!!!
Please post more shots of 101 or Taipei's city views. It would make all the Taiwanese in other countries very happy.
Thanks.
