Binary Tree
By Nellisoft
November 19th, 2009
For all the CompSci majors out there :P Water on a screen after a torrential rain, which could be construed as an array of single bits, "0" for empty, "1" for a water bubble. The reflection in the bubbles is a tree in the front yard. Used direct flash through a tiny softbox to increase visibility of the screen.

Being a cyborg, this really speaks to me :)
What an intriguing piece of work--I really love it. Good eye for a good photo.

This work is genius. Optimal assignment of colors to the notion density/volume. Just do not know if it's the best color behind the screen because on my desktop icons are not very clear. Nellisoft, great creativity. Thank you!
stubulman, exactly! The cube reminds me of the movie 'Terminator'.

I like this. It's one of the most original images on this site and will work great to break up the stream of landscapes in my screensaver.

PoopChef, these guys deserve! I give much value to it, because I know that is not easy to do a great job. What we find here on this site, I see it nowhere. You are all done well, every day. And thanks for reading my comments.

Innovative idea and genuine execution but the breaking of discreteness in two regions(bottom right & top center where the droplets merged...err melted transistors) and the gradient in bottom right breaks the abstract nature of the theme for me, which is sort of ironical as I am one of those CS majors :P
